About Us: Carmella's Wine Bar is an inviting new spot in the heart of Pittsford, NY, designed to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for wine and cocktail enthusiasts. With a commitment to exceptional hospitality and a passion for food and beverage, we offer a unique experience that elevates the traditional wine bar setting. Our expertly curated wine list and cocktail program, alongside a delightful tapas-style food menu, create the perfect backdrop for memorable experiences.

Job Overview: We are seeking a diligent and motivated Barback to join our team at Carmella's Wine Bar. As a Barback, you will support our bartenders and ensure the bar operates smoothly and efficiently. Your role is integral to maintaining a high standard of service and creating a positive experience for our guests.

Pay: $11.35 - $15.50/hr

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist bartenders by restocking supplies, including glassware, liquor, mixers, and garnishes.
  • Ensure the bar area is clean, organized, and well-maintained at all times.
  • Collect and wash used glassware, ensuring a steady supply is available for service.
  • Assist in receiving and storing deliveries
  • Help with the preparation of garnishes and other bar essentials as needed.
  • Support bartenders during busy periods by helping to expedite drink orders.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance your knowledge of bar operations and hospitality.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a bar or restaurant setting preferred, but not required.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • A passion for hospitality and a desire to learn and grow in the industry.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to support and collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
