Located in the heart of Pittsford, Carmella's Wine Bar offers an elevated wine bar experience featuring handcrafted tapas, thoughtfully selected wines, and creative cocktails. As a Line Cook, you'll play an essential role in delivering consistently exceptional food while working alongside a supportive team that values creativity, teamwork, and attention to detail.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and plate a variety of tapas-style dishes with consistency, quality, and attention to presentation.
- Execute orders efficiently during lunch and dinner service while maintaining high culinary standards.
- Work closely with the chef and back-of-house team to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Assist with food preparation, station setup, and daily kitchen organization.
- Monitor food quality, freshness, and proper portioning.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen while following all food safety guidelines.
- Assist with inventory management, food ordering, product dating, and stock rotation.
- Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure outstanding guest experiences.
- Contribute ideas and creativity to menu execution and kitchen operations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Line Cook, Prep Cook, Chef, or Expo in a restaurant environment preferred.
- Passion for cooking and creating high-quality food.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Positive attitude and commitment to teamwork.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Dependable, motivated, and eager to continue developing culinary skills.
